No ... Not withstand the heat of the Ziploc bag of popcorn. When I started, seasoned cooking in the microwave with small brown paper bag lunch with 1 / 3 cup butter Unpopped corn and salt. Since then I have learned that brown paper bags made from recycled paper and often contain things that are not suitable for use with food.
Presto is a cornpopper that works in the microwave with a paper cone of thickness on the ground. Use your favorite popcorn and a little salt, if desired, the oil is not necessary unless you want to. The corn comes fast and ugly, and easily cleaned without chemicals and unwanted calories. Much cheaper than microwave popcorn bags and better for you and the environment. It's pretty simple to 9 years to do.

You can do a test. But I like the results you get using one of the specialties Microwave Popcorn bowls of food available. Simply a little oil on the floor, add your popcorn, put the lid and then paste it in the microwave for 2 1 / 2 minutes.

Popcorn and not a paper with a Ziploc bag.

Ziploc bags are almost always melt in my experience with the microwave, try it with a paper as the basis of a brown bag. More color would be best used (many white papers industrially May contain known carcinogens) destabilizes plastic lighter than paper-like thing in common use
